Pastoral Column – Fr. Tony

November 25, 2020

With the coming of this Season of Advent, we’re invited by our Holy Mother the Church as we journey in faith to deeply reflect the Mystery of Jesus Christ that’s always new and alive which time can’t fathom nor exhaust.

We proclaim that Jesus is the beginning and the end – the Alpha & the Omega. The string of events that happened over time especially the past months continue on and on as we go on pilgrimage toward God’s Kingdom which began with His Nativity and His victory over sin and death on the cross.

That’s why, amidst all the happenings around us in the sphere of good governance, the changing of seasons & course of Mother Nature in these pandemic times, Advent gives us hope not for the coming of alien gods but our certain confidence in the coming of our Lord Jesus who has already been born for us; who became man like us; born of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This is the sure hope that engages and inspires us to be alert this Advent Season in prayer encouraging us to reach out in love for others especially those in need.

May this Season of Advent make us aware all the more that God’s Kingdom is in our very midst whenever we learn to live together as brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Let’s keep our spirits ever vigilant!

Let’s receive with joy the Good News of our Lord!

Let’s hope for our Nation to be filled with unity and love!

Our Lady of Good Help, pray for us.
